Packing Up, Moving Out
Move-out Day is coming up soon. For many families, that means a happy homecoming and chance for students to regain focus over the summer. But before students who live in residence halls leave for summer break, they have to be completely moved out by 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 13. There’s a lot to think about, like cleanup, and changing their contact information through their Student Center accounts to ensure they continue receiving important announcements.
To help make moving out easier, and to further Humboldt State’s commitment to sustainability, the University offers Donation Dash, which helps students properly dispose of waste and recycling, and collects reusable unwanted goods for local charities.

Coming Together for Support
The Humboldt State community gathered recently to celebrate the life of 19-year-old student David Josiah Lawson, who was killed on April 15. Family members, members of Brothers United, and others who knew Josiah spoke about him as a caring and charismatic person.
Photos from the Celebration of Life are here. The University continues to offer support for students and others. For support, more information, and updates click here.
